A short and sweet series aimed at clearing up the most common statements that are loosely thrown around with nobody really knowing whether there is any truth to them or not.
This 4-part video series swoops in with simple answers to the most basic questions to ensure that the next time someone makes a tall claim, you won't be at the receiving end of the crazy repercussions induced from believing it.
So let's get you more aware girl, you're 4 quick minutes away from a well-informed you!
Lets start of with the first one:
"Crunches are the key to flat abs." Fact or myth?
This is an important one because there are tons of people indulging in crunch challenges awaiting the promised flat belly that never arrives.
You would think that ab muscles are strictly reserve for the determined lot, the ones that hit the gym everyday, religiously worshipping the workout God that then bestows them with a set of rock hard abs.
Weirdly enough though, here's an interesting fact – EVERYBODY has ab muscles! However, if you've got an extra layer of fat on your tummy, it (very thoughtlessly,) acts as a blanket and covers up your ab muscles.
Now while crunches might help strengthen and tone those muscles, they won't burn the excess layer of fat over them thats covering them up in the first place!
So the only way you'll ever see those bad boys is to get a good fat-burning workout and diet regime in place.
All the best!
