1. SINGLE LEG STRETCH
Single leg stretch is one of the best Pilates mat exercises for your abdominals. It will help you develop strong abs and build endurance. So honestly – how can you possibly resist these benefits?
Begin by lying on the mat, placing your inside hand on the knee and the outside hand on the ankle. Straighten the other leg and lift your head and shoulders off the mat.
Change legs and hand while maintaining the correct alignment. The torso should be kept still and legs aligned with your hips.
2. CRISS CROSS
Since strong is the new sexy, this criss cross exercise will strengthen your abdomen and also help you develop pelvic stability and get a small waistline, thats every woman's dream.
Here's how you can do this exercise.
Lie flat on your back with your hands placed at the base of your neck. Bring your knees into your chest and curl your head and shoulders off the mat.
Place your right leg at a 45 degree angle and rotate bringing your right shoulder to your left knee. Follow this by rotating in the opposite direction to bring your left shoulder to your right knee. Keep Repeating.
This classic exercise will help you keep your tummy firm and flat. This exercise is named Hundreds because it was meant to be held for a hundred beats. It keeps your blood moving and increases abdominal stability. A bullet proof abdomen and new appreciation for life will be your reward.
Lie down on your spine with the legs at tabletop position and arms by your side. Curl your head and shoulders off the mat and extend your legs to a 45 degree angle. Keep your arms strong and pump them up and down with 5 counts inhalation and 5 counts exhalation.
