Newest Ban - The Oily T-zone!
Does the sheen & oil on your skin make your blood boil? Maintaining oily skin is such a task and we don’t need more troubles in our lives in addition to the ones that we already have. Just like when our food gets too oily we can't tolerate it, so why ignore the excess oil on our face? Most women with oily skin find it difficult wearing makeup, so they don’t wear any makeup at all! If you’re one of them, why are you curbing your love for makeup my friend?
Firstly you have to understand why is your skin becoming shiny and oily? There can be many causes for this like heredity, diet, hormone levels, humidity etc! When it comes to makeup, the wrong foundation on top of oily skin can only make it worse. So the trick it to pick a foundation that eliminates and absorbs the oil giving it a matte finish.
In this video, we’ve offered three of our favourite foundations for oily skin that you can use. In addition to those, here’s a few more that you can use :
1. Nyx Stay Matte But Not Flat Foundation
2. L’oreal true match minerals - This is a great drugstore powder foundation that can be layered on top of a tinted moisturiser
3. Becca ever matte shine proof foundation
Before you begin your makeup make sure you cleanse your face with an oil control moisturiser. We recommend the cetaphil facewash and the neutrogena oil free acne face wash. For better results, use a toner as well (tip : green tea works as a great natural toner) Scrubbing your face at least thrice a week helps get rid of the dead skin cell layer. Use an oil control moisturiser before you apply your foundation and avoid using too much product as it’ll look cakey.
Setting your foundation with powder is a step you JUST cannot miss. Use any loose powder of your choice and layer it on top of your foundation with a fluffy powder brush.
Hope these tips help you get rid of that dreadful shiny t-zone and oily finish!
