Foundation Application - 4 Different Ways!

Foundation Application - 4 Different Ways!

It was already a task to find the PERFECT shade of foundation for your skin tone and type but now that, that's sorted, are you still confused as to which is the best method to blend it into your skin seamlessly?

Makeup artist Heli Vyas has shared four easy and simple ways to apply foundation. We suggest you give them all a try and go ahead with what you're most comfortable with!

Our most favourite and possibly the only methods that will give you a porcelain-like finish are the two magic tools - Beauty blender and the stippling brush!

The beauty blender is a small sponge with a rounded bottom and a narrower tip that can blend and even out the application even into the tiny corners of your face! Dampen the beauty blender before using it as it will really help the foundation to soak into your skin, giving it a very natural finish!

An alternative to a beauty blender would be a cotton pad! You can easily find them at chemists or even make them at home! Remember to dampen the cotton pad too for a similar effect as the beauty blender.

Stippling brushes have made it into our favourites list for a reason! They are so versatile, you can use them for foundation application as well as blush, bronzer and highlighter if they come in a liquid formula! Remember to stipple the product on to your face in circular motions!

And last but not the least, fingers! Tapping the foundation and blending it with your fingers is a quick, easy and a go to technique! Especially if you're in a hurry and don't have time to dampen blenders or cotton pads or use brushes. Be gentle while you massage it all in.

Always, ALWAYS prep your skin before you use any foundation. So follow the classic - cleansing, toning, moisturising technique and in addition to that use a primer! A primer will act as a perfect base for your foundation to sit on, soak in and will make it last longer.

With makeup, less is always more so start with a little foundation and gradually build it up if needed. So, do try these tricks and let us know which one suits you best! :D
