Bid Lipstick Smudging A Goodbye!

Bid Lipstick Smudging A Goodbye!

All of us love wearing our favourite colours on our lips as a good lipstick is not less than a weapon of mass destruction! So when you’re heading out for a party and are excited to put on that outfit you’ve been waitinnnng to wear, remember, there’s that ONE lipstick that’s totally going to do justice to that outfit. But doesn’t it just get on your nerves when your lipstick starts fading from the centre of your lip due to all the eating and drinking?

The lipstick colour starts creasing, fading, flaking and the centre of your lip loses colour thus causing discolouration is totally not flattering.

Makeup expert Pallavi Symmons tells you how you can completely avoid this disastrous damage your favourite makeup product is capable of causing.

We always tend to apply extra product which causes cakeyness. The first trick is to always have tissue papers handy when you do your makeup. Grab some tissue paper and place it over your lip, soaking in the extra product. If you want to mattify the lipstick, dab some loose powder over the tissue paper and buff it in with a brush.

Use your index finger and put it into your mouth like Pallavi demonstrates and swipe it outwards, you’ll see a lot of excess lipstick come on to your finger. This is the stain that otherwise would’ve made an appearance on your coffee mug.

This technique is tried and tested and works wonderfully especially if dark lipsticks are your thing. The loose powder also ensures that your lipstick doesn’t crease.

PRO TIP : Before you apply your lipstick, only moisturising your lips with a lip balm isn’t enough. Just grab your toothbrush, wet it a little and exfoliate your lips using it. Remove all the flaky skin that might be chapping your lips up. Apply the lip balm post that. This trick is great when it comes to using matte lipsticks as they dry up quickly, super dry infact!

Now that you know this super awesome lipstick trick, don’t fret about dark lipsticks and stained coffee mugs.
