Monsoon Mania: Skin Care Routine For Flawless Skin!

Monsoon Mania: Skin Care Routine For Flawless Skin!

Now that we are through with summer, it’s time to welcome the rains. Another season loaded with stickiness and humidity. Rains can mess with your skin, if not taken care of! After the  extreme heat from the sun and summer sweaty days, monsoon brings a sigh a relief, but it also brings damp humid weather along with tons of infections. Well it's unavoidable. Monsoon is the time to take intense care of your skin, as dust particles easily settle on your skin, which damages your skin. Here are some tips to look after you skin:

  • Keep Dry.

Getting drenched in rain water unpreparedcan mess up your skin, well keeping dry in rains isn’t possible but, if you do get wet in the rains, the first thing to do is head straight to the shower and clean up, do not let water sit on your skin as you can catch fungal infection.

  • Stay Clean.

Use a soap-free or a mild face cleanser, as there is a possibility of your skin getting itchy. If you have a dry skin, use a mild cream based cleanser, as this will add some moisture to your skin. If you do have an oily skin, it is a good idea to wash your face atleast 2-3 times a day, as dust particles can easily stick to the oil in your skin, clogging your pores.

  • Exfoliate.

Scrubbing is a must! Exfoliate your skin at least 2-3 times a week, this will help get rid of  any  dead cells and clogged pores. However, use a mild scrub, without any thick granules, as that can damage your skin. If you have dry skin then opt for hydrating scrub to keep the moisture intact.

  • Skincare

Add ingredients such as, tea tree oil, aloe vera gel, neem, lemon, honey, yoghurt, multani mitti, in your skincare routine. This will help get of any dirt on your skin and keep your skin away from allergies and promote healthy and glowing skin.

  • Change your moisturiser.

With the change in weather, it’s important to update your moisturiser. Choose a lightweight moisturiser, as you don’t want anything heavy on your skin. If you have dry skin, it’s generally advised to use a cream-based moisturiser, but, in monsoon, swap your moisturiser with a lotion. People with oily-skin should opt for gel based moisturizers to avoid the stickiness.

  • Don’t skip sunscreen.

Even though most of the days are cloudy, don’t skip on your sunscreen. Make sure you use a broad spectrum sunscreen, at least SPF 50 and waterproof. Wear it every time, whether you step outside or just indoors.

  • Waterproof makeup.

Keep your makeup lightweight, as anything heavy or cakey can clog your pores and cause acne. Ensure that your mascara and eyeliner are waterproof. Mineral makeup is the best to wear in humid weather as it lightweight on skin and it allows your skin to breathe.

Glowing, radiant skin is the result of good skin care routine, and monsoon is the time where your skin needs intense care. Follow these skincare tips to achieve the skin that you always wished for.

Happy Monsoons!
